Academy is open for all international participants (the official language is English).
A basic understanding of science (primary school level) is required.
Open to participants over the age of 16.

PARTICIPATION FEE
Science Underground Academy (5 day academy program / 16. – 20. August) is completely non-profit educational program,
organized by non-profit organizations.
All the lecturers & organizers are volunteers.
Participation costs are covered with participation fee for each participants.
Participation fee covers all participation expanses (materials that will be used during the workshops for teaching and field trips expanses).
The Academy offers two types of participation:
without accommodation in Dubrovnik and with organised accommodation in Hostel in a shared (4 person bedroom) with other participants.
Total participation fee cost per person:
Early birds (for applications and payments before 7. August)
without accommodation – total 250 EUR
with accommodation – total 320 EUR
Night owls (for applications and payments after 8. August)
without accommodation – total 300 EUR
with accommodation – total 370 EUR
Applications are open until all places are filled.
Group discount:
If you are coming with a friend, please apply together, to get a discount:
Groups of 2 or more participants, who send applications together, get a discount of 10% each.
Fee is payable by invoice, wire transfer or PayPal, before arrival.
In case of cancellation, participation fee is not refundable (since it will be spent on buying consumable material before the academy starts).
Participation fee does not include travel to Dubrovnik, or meals except refreshment during the workshops.
Due to the size of the lab, number of participants is limited, so grab your seat while you can…
ACCOMMODATION
As mentioned, UR Institute offers possibility of participation with included arranged accommodation in Hostel Dubrovnik, in joined bedroom with other participants. Check in is on 16.August, check out on 21.August.
As mentioned, the accommodation is in 4 person bedroom with other participants. The hostel is equipped with free WiFi, kitchen and a pool.
Please keep the mind that the number of places with accommodation is highly limited, so apply as soon as possible.
TRAVELING TO DUBROVNIK
City of Dubrovnik is well connected worldwide.
You can reach Dubrovnik with airplane, bus, car or a ship.
We recommend: SkyScanner, eDreams and EasyJet for booking flights.
Some airlines such as EasyJet and Norwegian offer ridiculously cheap direct flights, if you book on time.
For getting to Dubrovnik by bus, we recommend GetByBus or FlixBus.
